Sunset Horse Ride On the Essaouira Coast
A two-hour horse ride on the Essaouira shore, catching the best views of the sunset at its peak and returning before dark. Horses matched to the rider level, suitable for beginners to advanced riders. For solo-travelers, couples or groups.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Meet & Greet
We'll meet on the south Essaouira beachfront. Your guide introduces you to the horses and matches you to the right one based on your experience level. A short safety orientation before you set off.
Ride South Along the Essaouira Shore
Head south along the open beach, away from the medina and the crowds. The route follows the waterline with uninterrupted views of the sunset.
Catch the Sunset at Its Peak
The route is timed so you reach the best stretch of coast as the sun drops toward the horizon. Usually guests prefer to stop here to take photos and enjoy the view.
Return Before Dark
Ride back along the shore as the light fades. Your guide leads the way back before dark, either along the beach, or through the Eucalyptus forest towards the Diabat.

📍 Av. Mohammed V, Essaouira 44000, MoroccoBeach & Friends café sits on the ocean beachfront south of the medina — easy to reach and a recognized landmark for taxi drivers. From the medina's coastal gate, it's a scenic 20–30 minute walk along the beach.
Need help getting there? We can meet you at your accommodation and can go together via taxi. Just let us know.
Staying outside Essaouira? Send us a WhatsApp and we can arrange a pickup for a small additional fee.

- Closed shoes
- A windproof layer — the Atlantic coast is cooler than expected

What To Bring
- Camera or smartphone for photos
- It is best to leave large bags at home and only bring what can be secured in your jacket pocket. Your host can take photos for you if you prefer to leave everything at your hotel.
