2-Day Trek to Sidi Kouki on Horseback
A two-day horseback trek from Essaouira to Sidi Kaouki, with Moroccan picnics, Atlantic coast riding, and a night in a Raha Mogador eco-lodge












WHAT YOU'LL DO
Choose Your Meeting Point
We'll will pick you at your preferred meeting point, whether that is at your riad or somewhere else in the city of Essaouira. From there, we will travel together to the horse stable and prepare the horses for our treck.
Ride South Along the Essaouira Shore
We will head south along the open beach, away from the medina towards Sidi Kouki. The route will go along the coast, into the hills, forest, and dunes.
Enjoy Picnics Along the Way
We will stop periodically for breaks, having authetic moroccan meals picnic style along the way. Snacks and meals include fire cooked kefta, salads, bread, and other snacks and fresh tea.
Stay 1-Night in Sidi Kouki at Our Ego Lodge
Once we get to Sidi Kouki, we will check you in at our eco lodge where you will rest from the jouney. Dinner and Breakfast provided. The next day, we will return back to Essaouira.

WHERE WE'LL GO
Our Trekking Path From Diabat in Essaouira to Sidi Kouki
The path we will be trekking on is along the Essaouira coast, through parts of the African coast most travelers never get to see.

Group Sizes
We book guests 1-8, but can accomodate larger groups via the custom booking form.
Cancellation Policy
Cancel at least 72 hours (3 days) before the start time for a full refund.
Guest Requirements
Minimum age: 7 years old
What To Wear
- Light trousers or leggings
- Closed shoes
- A windproof layer — the Atlantic coast is cooler than expected
Activity Level
The activity level for this experience is high and the skill level is intermediate-advanced. This is a long journey on horseback, so it is not recommended for beginners.
What To Bring
- Camera or smartphone for photos
- Pack for a one night stay overnight. We recommend bringing layers, in case the weather changes or it is cold at night.
